HVAC Service Install Technician

HVAC Journeyman Responsibilities- • Performing preventative and routine maintenance by cleaning reheat coils and air handling units, and monitoring and calibrating air handling units • Removing old systems and installing new systems • Improving air quality by cleaning ducts to optimize efficiency • Fixing, replacing and adjusting vents, and ductwork • Ensuring condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently • Test and troubleshoot installations after completion • Training junior team members • Communicating with clients and customer • Ordering and maintaining equipment • Meeting local HVAC codes • Maintaining service truck Requirements: • 2+ year HVAC experience • EPA Certification or actively working on it, required • Knowledge of HVAC systems and Mechanical experience • Commercial and Residential experience • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required • Sheet metal work or refrigeration experience • Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills • Proficient in reading schematics, blueprint reading skills and work plans • Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces • Requires local travel within assigned region Extensive driving may be required • Complete Background and Drug Test • Carrying/Lifting: Lifting up to 60 lbs. • Standing:Maximum Standing • Sitting:Minimal • Walking: Maximum Walking • CrawlingMaximum crawling • Repetitive Motion: Use of tools • Visual Acuity: Able to use Respirator without obstruction able view with or without corrective devices • Environment exposure: Hazardous Materials • Other: Ability to hear and speak for telephone use is required A base tech wage for a tech that has some install and service experience already (2+ years experience) is $30/hr- DOE Journeyman level 5+ yrs tech starts at about $30-$45 DOE Competitive wage/benefits package HVAC Technician; HVAC; UEI; HVAC Technician; HVAC Lead Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 10 hour shift • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Weekend availability Experience: • HVAC: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: • EPA Certification (Required) • CDL (Required) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Ability to Commute: • San Diego, CA 92111 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • San Diego, CA 92111: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
