HVAC Service Technician Ibbotson Heating Company is a 3rd generation family owned heating and air conditioning company serving the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago since 1946. We provide high quality work from the installation of the newest furnace technology to the expert service needed to maintain and repair this and other HVAC equipment. No need to push sales to earn a living! · Being a true service technician · Salary based on experience and professionalism · Nate and Manufacturer training · Web based training to further your technical and professional skills · Company vehicle, Phone and IPad for company use · Friendly work environment where you know the people you’re working with. · Steady work year round, the reason why many on our team have been with us over 20 yrs Some of what we are looking for in a professional service technician: · Minimum 2 years HVAC service experience OR have HVAC certificate within 1yr of schooling completion and the mechanical aptitude and passion to do what’s right for helping customers with their heating and cooling needs · Proper tools(hand/meter) to make HVAC diagnosis and repairs. · Must be customer friendly, good character, clean appearance. · Must be able to write and speak English clearly. · Must have good communication and customer relations. · Clean and valid driver’s license. · HVAC technical school preferred. · EPA license. · Must live 30 minutes or less driving distance from our shop. Technician’s hours usually are 8:00-4:30 Mon-Fri, 8:00-11:00 Saturday (Sat as needed). Depending on weather O.T. may be required. Technicians are on a rotation for "oncall". Times will vary based on season and weather.
