Summary Residential HVAC Selling Technician ️A-Star Air Conditioning & Plumbing The Residential HVAC Selling Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional HVAC services—including maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs—while identifying opportunities to enhance customer comfort through system upgrades, replacements, and service agreements. This position combinestechnical skillwithcustomer-focused communicationto educate homeowners and provide solutions that fit their needs. Key Responsibilities • Technical Service:Perform thorough maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on residential HVAC systems including heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment. • Needs Assessment:Evaluate customers’ HVAC systems during service calls to identify opportunities for improvements or replacements. • Proposal & Quoting:Prepare and present clear, detailed proposals and quotes that explain the benefits and value of recommended solutions. • Customer Education:Inform homeowners about system operation, energy efficiency, and maintenance options to empower informed decisions. • Relationship Management:Build trust with customers by providing reliable service and professional follow-up, encouraging long-term relationships. • Documentation:Accurately record all service activities, sales conversations, and customer feedback using company software such asServiceTitan. • Team Collaboration:Work closely with sales and installation teams to ensure smooth handoffs and customer satisfaction throughout the service process. ✅Qualifications & Requirements • Experience:Minimum 2-3 years of residential HVAC service experience with some exposure to sales or customer-facing roles. • Certification:EPA Type II or Universal Certification required. • Skills:Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to identify and act on sales opportunities with professionalism. • License:Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Physical Requirements:Able to lift heavy equipment, work in confined or elevated spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
