Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role involves working in residential and commercial settings, ensuring that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC design and installation.
• Perform plumbing tasks as needed in conjunction with HVAC repairs.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical components of HVAC systems.
• Execute field service calls to troubleshoot equipment issues at customer locations.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site.
Skills
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC/R systems.
• Proficiency in construction techniques related to HVAC installations.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Previous experience as a service technician or in appliance repair is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform equipment repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Welding skills are beneficial for certain repair tasks.
• Experience in property maintenance is an asset.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems and boiler operations is essential.
