HVAC Technician

Position Overview: Entrada Partners is a commercial real estate investment firm with a growing portfolio of industrial, office, and flex properties across Texas. We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to perform preventive maintenance on industrial rooftop HVAC units. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing rooftop units (RTUs), air handling units (AHUs), exhaust fans, and other rooftop mechanical equipment to ensure they operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. This role is Monday – Friday, and requires employees to be on-call for emergencies on the weekends and after-hours. This role also requires travel within the DFW area. A reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting and storing company-provided tools is required; a monthly vehicle allowance will be provided. Key Responsibilities: • Perform routine preventive maintenance on rooftop HVAC equipment, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs. • Inspect and service equipment such as: Packaged rooftop units (RTUs), Air handling units (AHUs), Condensers and compressors, Exhaust fans and economizers. • Replace filters, belts, and worn components. • Check refrigerant levels, system pressures, electrical connections, and mechanical components. • Document maintenance actions, findings, and recommendations for each service visit. • Identify potential equipment failures or inefficiencies and report them promptly. • Adhere to company and OSHA safety policies while working at heights and in all weather conditions. • Operate ladders and rooftop access systems safely and appropriately. Qualifications: • Technical or trade school certificate in HVAC preferred. • 2+ years of experience performing HVAC preventive maintenance, preferably with rooftop units. • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and tools. • Comfortable working on rooftops and in outdoor environments. • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and service documentation. • Must have a reliable personal vehicle suitable for transporting and storing company-provided tools and equipment; a monthly vehicle allowance will be provided. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders. • Comfortable working in elevated, outdoor environments and in various weather conditions. • Standing, walking, kneeling, and bending required for extended periods.
