The Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration Technician is responsible for operating a company vehicle to and from customer sites to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. To be a successful Commercial HVAC/R Technician, you should be able to work independently, possess strong technical and troubleshooting skills and be an expert in customer service. Responsibilities: • Installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems. • Monitors HVAC/R and Hot Side systems and operations and ensures that routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules and standards. • Responds to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues. • Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system. • Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes. • Estimates time and material costs on HVAC/R/ Hot Side install and repair projects. • Verify and implement preventive maintenance standards on all HVAC/R distribution equipment. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate. • Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety.
