Your Role and Responsibilities
The Front End Developer will primarily be responsible for designing developing and maintaining client-side applications but may also assist with server-side tasks as needed. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Angular and TypeScript as well as experience with RxJS and web frameworks. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills a deep understanding of software development best practices and a passion for building scalable and efficient systems.
• Design and implement robust secure and maintainable client-side applications using Angular Javascript and Typescript.
• Develop and maintain APIs for data access and communication between front-end and back-end components.
• Write automated tests to ensure the quality reliability and robustness of the application.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 5 years of professional experience as a Front-End Developer with at least 4 years specializing in Angular TypeScript and RxJS.
• Proficiency with the IBM Carbon Design System.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices including version control (e.g. Git) code review and testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills keen attention to detail and a passion for learning new technologies.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Proficiency with REST and GraphQL.
• Experience with Java and IBM DB2.
• Familiarity with CIO Cirrus hybrid cloud environments.
• Some experience in back-end development.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully in a multicultural team environment.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Self-starter with a quick aptitude for learning new technologies enthusiastic about teaching and sharing knowledge and capable of multitasking.
• Genuine interest in resolving customer issues and ensuring software quality.
• Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
