Your Role and Responsibilities
As an IBM Cloud Delivery Consultant you will learn and experience how we apply technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery using consultative skills such as problem-solving hypothesis-based methodologies communication and service orientation skills. As a member in the Technology Expert Labs team you will assist IBM Cloud Architects in the design of solutions in the use of IBM Cloud to address our clients’ strategic business and technical goals and drive those solutions to fruition through their provision and configure in IBM Cloud.

You will primarily collaborate with our IBM Cloud Architects Senior Delivery Consultants business partners and clients to perform the hands-on project work to implement target solution architectures that use IBM Cloud. These projects may include multiple phases from inception discovery design planning implementation workload migration and hand over of the solution to the designated “day 2” operations team. You will provide technical inputs throughout these phases. Solutions are documented as architectures and can include systems applications processes and service components all hosted in IBM Cloud and integrated with client on-premise systems in accordance with their hybrid cloud journey.

Your Responsibilities:

• Familiar with design validation of innovative technical approaches based on the IBM Cloud capabilities.
• Familiar with technical implementation of IBM Cloud technologies across the life cycle of the project.
• Perform installation and configuration of IBM Cloud services CI/CD and DevOps Toolchain.
• Be a trusted advisor to the client by pro-actively educating and guiding client’s understanding and adoption of IBM Cloud technology.
• Engage with key client counterparts as the IBM Cloud technology technical subject matter expert.
• Provide input to create and maintain solution architecture documentation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical & consultative skills

• B.E./BTech in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud/multi-cloud networking (including firewalls and load balancers) IBM Cloud IBM Cloud IaaS and PaaS services workload migration tools and methods
• Familiarity with two or more IBM Cloud IaaS and PaaS services: VMware VPC Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes Service (ROKS) IBM Cloud Kubernetes Services (IKS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform Ansible etc.
• Familiarity with Veeam Zerto IBM Cloud block and object storage solutions
• Understanding of implementing IT transformation projects
• Communicate and implement solution recommendations based on defined solution architecture designs and provide hands-on education regarding the solution.
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.

Necessary Skills

• 1+ years of experience in IBM Cloud
• 1+ years of experience in Cloud solution implementation and migration or relevant industry experience
• Familiarity in IBM Cloud networking including MPLS VPN GRE VPC DirectLink Transit Gateway BGP Load balancers Cloud Internet Services.
• Ability in deploying and configuring IBM Cloud firewall solutions such as Juniper FortiGate Vyatta.
• Build and configure solutions in VMware including detailed knowledge of vCenter vSphere vMotion vSAN NSX and HCX components
• Install and configure Red Hat OpenShift Kubernetes Service (ROKS) or IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service (IKS)
• Ability in deploying and configuring IBM Cloud backup solutions such as Veeam Spectrum Protect etc.
• Ability in the use of workload migration tools such as VMware HCX VMware vMotion Veeam Zerto etc.
• Familiarity in the development of cloud automation using Ansible Terraform DevOps etc.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Familiarity in deploying and configuring IBM Cloud Classic Infrastructure and VPC Solutions.
• Familiarity in deploying and configuring IBM Cloud-Native services such as ROKS/IKS.
• Experience in deploying and configuring IBM Cloud for VMware Cloud Foundation solutions.
• Ability in learning of deploying and configuring IBM Cloud Security and Compliance Center & Workload Protection.
• Familiar with deploying and configuring IBM Cloud Internetworking services such as Transit Gateway Direct-Links Load balancers and Gateway appliances etc.
• Ability in deploying and configuring Backup and Disaster-Recovery solutions such as Veeam Zerto Spectrum Protect etc.
