IBM iSeries / Infor XA Support Specialist

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Remote)

Duration: Long-term Contract

Description: The IBM iSeries / Infor XA Support Specialist role provides application level support to user and management for all operation and business functions within the Infor XA ERP software. This individual has developed their experience in the application to an SME leveL (subject matter expert). The role also supports management with development and testing efforts for new software functionality and changes to existing functionality.

• Ensure ERP System (IBM Power9) is up and running for all sister companies daily operations.
• Verify daily / nightly processing has been completed and report any issues to division management.
• Make sure any peripherals are connected and operational. (printer, displays, etc)
• Run or configure required reports for operational requirements for each division.
• Respond to any requests, via email, phone call and prioritize a resolution.
• Daily / Evening / Month end processing for all divisions.
• Backup of IBM Power9 – This to include, daily, weekly, month end and the tape rotation associated.
• Periodic Meetings with key division team to discuss any ongoing issues as it related to IT and ERP system.
• Installing new user and granting required security with IBM Power 9 and coordinate with IT support to ensure user has security on URI network. Disabling users no longer with the company.
• Installing interface software to ERP database for user access. PowerLink, EAX, IBM Client Access. Also coordinated required software from IT support group.
• Operational support with various system Forms creation and implementation.
• Programming, RPG, CL and Sequel, experience a plus but not necessary.
