Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to perform expert lab services related to IBM Storage products.
The Infrastructure Expert Lab provides technical assistance to customers and BPs based on our in-depth knowledge and experience with IBM's Systems products. The Expert Labs provide a wide range of technical support, including:

  • Consulting for difficult customer requirements.
  • Pre-sales support through PoC.
  • Designing and building Systems products and providing technical support.
  • Lecturers for skill transfers and training sessions.
  • Support for QA and troubleshooting.
In addition, Expert Labs offers opportunities to improve your skills in the latest technologies through overseas business trips and to work globally through collaboration with overseas engineers.
You will:
  • Provide technical support for design and construction work related to IBM storage products.
  • Conduct skill transfers to customers and BPs.
  • Provide technical support to accelerate pre-sales activities.
Improvement of skills related to the latest technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Strong storage knowledge and ability to design and build realistic storage solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with other departments to conduct business.
• Basic networking skills (CCNA equivalent).
• Basic Linux operating skills.
• 5+ years of experience designing and building storage products (experience with IBM Storage products and host attached storage is preferred).
• Storage related troubleshooting experience.
• Experience writing Linux shell scripts.
• TOEIC 600 or above. Must be comfortable using English in emails as well as speaking.
• Opportunities to participate in workshops on overseas business trips are available. In this case, you must be able to improve your own skills and provide feedback to the team upon your return.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Ability to think of and propose solutions on one's own (not limited to storage)
• Experience in hardware and software development (not limited to storage)
• TOEIC 800 or above. Ability to speak English smoothly in foreign teleconferences, etc.
