JOB SUMMARY:As anIndustrial Electricianat Nobert Plating, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of the facility’s electrical infrastructure. This position requires hands-on experience working with complex industrial equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. Collaboration with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams will be key to driving productivity and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), switchgear, and control panels
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical faults on heavy-duty equipment such as plating lines, boilers, HVAC, and compressors
• Perform diagnostic testing using multimeters, megohm meters, infrared cameras, and other industrial instruments
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to execute installations and modifications
• Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on manufacturing equipment
• Adhere strictly to OSHA, NEC, and company safety policies, including lock-out/tag-out and arc flash protocols
• Support equipment retrofits, and infrastructure upgrades
• Coordinate with mechanical maintenance, production, and engineering teams to address cross-functional issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of service records, inspections, and repair activities
• Participate in emergency repairs and provide rapid response during unplanned outages • Mentor junior electricians and contribute to training efforts
• Ensure all electrical tools and testing equipment are maintained in working order • Perform other duties as assigned
CORE COMPETENCIES:
• Extensive knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical safety codes
• Proven experience with high-voltage systems and power distribution networks
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, control circuits, and relay logic
• Strong analytical skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, loud, and physically demanding environment
• Clear written and verbal communication, with strong documentation skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setting
• Prior experience in metal finishing, chemical processing, or related manufacturing preferred
• Familiarity with electrical systems supporting HVAC, rectifiers, plating tanks, and industrial machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
• Willingness to work across multiple facilities when required

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis role operates within a high-volume manufacturing facility that handles industrial chemicals and heavy machinery. Noise levels may be elevated, and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times. The ability to navigate tight spaces and operate safely around energized systems is essential.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires regular walking, kneeling, climbing, and standing. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs and operate in physically demanding and confined workspaces. Reliable transportation to commute between plant locations is necessary.
