Position Description

Job Summary

* Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical conditions and faults, PLC's, low-high voltage electrical installations, VFD's and control valves as needed for Plant Maintenance * Ability to use electrical testing equipment (i.e. meters, ammeters, testers, me ohmmeter, etc.) * Adhere to strict safety controls and compliance for the safe operation of equipment, components and personal health and safety including the completion of periodic Safety Management Tool forms and Observational Safety Audit forms * Perform periodic and routine inspections of electrical systems, providing support for system upgrades and replacements * Inspect newly installed electrical equipment and lighting to ensure safe operation as well as code compliance * Installation of electrical wiring, panel construction, control systems, and electrical components * Maximize uptime, ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing work orders and preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines; troubleshooting of malfunctions and upset conditions * Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and associated costs as necessary for project tracking utilizing the Plant SAP CMMS and mobile tablet applications as the primary PM Program application enabling work order execution and functioning * Participation in employee training as it relates to Compliance, GMP's, Health and Safety and periodic technical training as it relates to internal development * Daily Maintenance shop housekeeping/organization (GEMBA) in compliance with CertainTeed Safety and Housekeeping programs * Ability to learn and adapt to Gypsum Manufacturing equipment and theory of operation * Daily Maintenance shop housekeeping/organization (GEMBA) in compliance with CertainTeed Safety and Housekeeping programs * Maintains and understands all electrical and control system equipment in the area * Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment * Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment * Completes required documentation for electrical maintenance projects * Completes assigned housekeeping duties on every shift * Performs other related duties that contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
