POSITION SUMMARY Signal Metal Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Maintenance Electricianto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial controls, machine controls and wiring, and high-voltage systems. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring electrical systems and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in an industrial environment. • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. • Install and maintain industrial wiring, conduit systems, control panels, and motor controls (AC/DC). • Troubleshoot PLCs and machine controls for CNC machines, hydraulic presses, overhead cranes, and other heavy industrial equipment. • Diagnose and repair high-voltage equipment and electrical distribution systems • Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime. • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve system reliability and efficiency. • Follow and enforce safety procedures • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and maintenance logs. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician or electrical technician in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. • Strong knowledge of industrial controls, motor starters, VFDs, relays, sensors, and control logic. • Experience working with high-voltage systems, 3-phase power, and industrial electrical distribution. • Proficient in the use of multimeters, megohm meters, and other diagnostic tools. • Familiarity with machine controls, including troubleshooting electrical aspects of mechanical equipment. • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and ladder logic (PLC experience a plus). • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Must be able to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
