Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Commercial/Industrial Painter to apply wet paint coatings to control boxes, pump stations, and custom metal fabrications. Powder coating experience is a plus. Key Responsibilities: • Apply paint and protective coatings to metal fabrications per specifications. • Operate and maintain spraying equipment, including pressure pots (required). • Mix and apply various coatings (alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, etc.). • Conduct quality checks using testing equipment (thickness gauges, holiday testers, etc.). • Follow EPA and OSHA safety and environmental standards. • Read and interpret blueprints and paint specifications. • Maintain, clean, and organize equipment and work areas. • Identify and address surface prep issues, weld defects, and paint repairs. • Coordinate drying space and materials layout with management. • Perform additional tasks as needed. Qualifications: • 3–4 years of industrial/commercial painting experience required. • Experience with pressure pots is mandatory. • Ability to pass paint application and thickness tests. • Strong attention to detail, coordination, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and follow instructions. • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Physical Demands & Work Environment: • Work in a non-climate-controlled facility with exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and noise. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and reach.
