Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse - RN

We are looking for anInfection Preventionist - RN - Registered Nurse.
• $110K to $115K annually based on skills and experience.
Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse - RNQualifications:
• Current licensure in the State of New York as a Registered Nurse - RN.
• Current CPR certification.
• Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology or Certification of the completion of the “Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course” by CDC.
• Minimum of one year of experience in nursing supervisory or nursing management in a Long-Term Care setting.
Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse - RNJob Summary:
• Develop, implement and evaluate the Ozanam Hall infection prevention program.
• Develop an annual surveillance plan based on the population served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data.
• Utilize epidemiologic principles to conduct surveillance and investigation.
• Develop, interpret and assist with implementation of infection prevention and control policies and protocols.
• Communicate infection prevention and control information and data to various committee and healthcare workers.
• Create periodic written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing.
• Provide leadership, supervision and educational principles on infection prevention and control for staff.
• Make daily rounds throughout the facility to assure that personnel are performing infection prevention practices.
• Participate in the assessment and selection of residents to the facility related to infection prevention and control.
• Provide hands on nursing care as necessary, as directed and allowed based on IP’s scope of licensure.
