Infusion Nurse RN for In-home and in clinic

BSC is seeking a part-time, per diem infusion RN to serve our patients in the San Francisco, San Jose, and Peninsula areas. We partner with several national and local Specialty Pharmacies to deliver a variety of medications such as IVIg and other biologics, in the home as well as in an infusion clinic in Los Gatos. Position Details As an infusion RN, you can utilize your IV skills and nursing expertise to provide the best quality care to our patients in the comfort of their homes. The Infusion Nurse delivers medications provided by the specialty pharmacy. In addition to IV infusions, the RN may also provide subcutaneous infusions, Injections, Wound Care, CVAD, PICC, and IVAD care, education for self-administration and participate in drug trials. The majority of our infusion cases are long-term at regular intervals. The per diem nurse will gradually build their own caseload of patients by accepting new referrals or transfers as well as provide coverage for other nurses as needed. Schedule: • Flexible scheduling Responsibilities: • Administer infusion therapy to patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols Monitor patients during infusion therapy to ensure safety and proper response to treatment • Assess and document patient's condition before, during, and after infusion therapy • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans • Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care techniques • Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including documentation of medications administered and patient responses.
