ABOUT THE ROLEÂ
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the travel agency, wholesale, onboard, and international sales channels to provide support through outreach communication initiatives, training, engagement, and travel advisor support and service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative support for travel agencies, wholesalers, and international travel partners.Â
- Provide inbound and outbound phone and email support for travel advisors seeking sales direction for new inquiries, existing reservations, and customer service assistance.Â
- Supportsales team directive, outbound calls to travel advisors to discuss promotions, special projects, account updates and other related initiatives.
- Provide travel advisors with promotional materials & collateral as requested.Â
- Handle travel advisor escalations and liaison with the relevant departments to resolve.Â
- Generate daily, monthly and quarterly sales reports for all agencies including consortia and key accounts as needed.Â
- Provide commission reconciliation support.Â
- Manage records, cases and communication via Salesforce pertaining to new and existing advisors and agencies.Â
- Manage alltravel advisor educational travel requests.Â
- Maintain and update travel agency database in Salesforce, Seaware, and advisor training platform.
- Serve as the main point of contact for advisor-related escalations.Â
- Provide administrative support for the sales department to include scheduling meetings, managing calendars, booking travel, assembling and submittingclient invoices as needed.Â
- Work in concert with the Field Sales Team to meet and surpass revenue targets for overall trade sales channelÂ
- Maintain a friendly and outgoing disposition, assisting in strengthening our relationship with all B2B partnersÂ
- Assist with Onboard Sales follow up and tasks as neededÂ
- Attend industry events, as needed.Â
- Other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.Â
- 2+ years in sales and customer service support in the travel industry preferred.Â
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong customer service skillsÂ
- Ability to work well in a team environment.Â
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of product, policies, and procedures.Â
- Excellent skills in administration, detail-oriented, strong time management with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Â
- Excellent phone communication skills.Â
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.Â
- Attendance at industry events required as needed.Â
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Salesforce.Â
- An understanding of Seaware reservation system.Â

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee will also be required to write and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
