The Role
The Inside Sales Specialist will work closely with Nordic's sales leaders as we grow our business. They will be responsible for prospecting, searching, and adding high-value sales opportunities in support of national sales leaders. Using a consultative approach, they will guide prospects through the introductory stages of the buying process. The right candidate will have experience in healthcare B2B sales, excellent business acumen, and a desire to grow their sales and leadership skills.Key Responsibilities
The Solutions and Inside Sales Specialist will have the following key responsibilities which include, but are not limited to:
Business Development and Growth
- Collaborate with account teams to grow business within existing clients and with sales teams to grow our client base
- Conduct outbound pre-sales research. Use search tools, subscriptions, social media, internal repositories and other sources to profile target prospects and identify relevant account information, key individuals, buying committees/processes, business needs, recent significant events, and existing partnerships that could indicate opportunities relevant to Nordic's business offerings
- Identify high-probability opportunities for expansion and growth
- Confirm identify of target buyers and key influencers for expansion and growth opportunities and collect contact data
- Cultivate relationships with potential buyers and influencers through direct contact (email, social, telephone)
- Effectively communicate our value proposition to various personas, successfully address objections and questions
- Identify and qualify opportunities using standard criteria
- Prepare thoughtful hand-off briefings for sales leaders to facilitate successful deal progression
- Deliver qualified opportunities and their related prospects to the appropriate sales leader for further development and closure
- Team with sales and marketing leadership to enhance prospecting strategy for target clients
- Follow up on inbound marketing leads using research, phone calls, emails, and social media to qualify prospective buyers
- Help drive attendance for conferences, webinars, or other prospecting events
- Partner with the marketing team on account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns to top prospect accounts and market segments
- Collaborate with sales and solution leads to develop prospecting strategies for target clients
- Present customer and prospect research data and observations to marketing and sales leadership
- Leverage reporting data to identify and recommend process improvement for the sales and marketing efforts
Operations and Tools
- In collaboration with sales operations, marketing, and sales leaders, help build and refine communications (cadences, emails, social posts, phone scripts) that will excite our prospects and increase engagement
- Provide recommendations to improve efficiencies in daily workflows and processes
- Create and maintain updated, accurate information in HubSpot and Salesforce
- Track client-related activities using HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to business development tools and workflows
- Distribute regular activity and outcome reports.
- Use tools including Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Definitive, HubSpot, etc. to inform and track activity.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of customer service and/or sales experience, ideally in a healthcare or technical industry
- Experience with Healthcare Provider Consulting sales and sales pipeline including solution sales cycle required
- Advanced to expert user of sales automation tools including Definitive (healthcare), ZoomInfo, Salesforce, HubSpot
- Fearlessness - willing to hop on the phone with new people every day and explain the Vera value proposition in a way that meets them where they are
- Experience utilizing a strong customer service attitude and skill set, obsessed with prospect satisfaction
- Excellent listener, able to synthesize expressed and unmet needs and then guide the conversation to move the prospect along the consideration path
- Experience supporting multiple sales closers with a demonstrated ability to set appointments with leads/prospects
- Excellent written and verbal communicator
- Confidence to make decisions in response to changing conditions
- Outstanding time management skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency to achieve goals
- Ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Additional Details
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
- Availability to work occasional nights and weekends as business needs arise
