The Behavioral Health Unit is a 73 bed inpatient department that serves adults experiencing acute mental health crises. The unit operates at full capacity and provides care to approximately 3,500 patients annually. The team includes 43 nurses and 80 mental health staff, working in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Patients present with a range of conditions, including major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. The Interim Behavioral Health Nurse Director will lead both clinical and administrative operations. Clinical duties include ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices, supporting education and development for the nursing team, and maintaining a therapeutic environment. On the administrative side, the Director will oversee staffing, budget management, and compliance with regulatory standards.
