IInterim Director of Accounting (Remote – Consumer Products Industry) Location:Fully Remote (HQ in TX) Duration:3–4 months with strong potential to convert to a permanent role Compensation:$80/hour Start Date:August 18 Work Authorization:Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Industry:Consumer Products Overview: A fast-growing, consumer-focused brand is seeking a hands-on and highly skilledInterim Director of Accountingto support their accounting function during a parental leave, with the intent to transition this individual into a permanent senior leadership role. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and mission-driven team scaling toward a major growth milestone, including a Series C fundraising round. The role is fully remote, though the company maintains its headquarters in TX. In this role, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You’ll play a key role in supporting business scale, process improvement, and system efficiency. This role offers tremendous exposure to leadership and direct impact on the company’s operational success. What You’ll Do: • Lead all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close • Maintain and optimize accounting processes using NetSuite • Oversee inventory accounting and provide support for cost tracking and product margin analysis • Collaborate with finance and executive teams to prepare for financial reporting, audit support, and growth initiatives • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, transparency, and adaptability What We’re Looking For: • CPA required • Strong background in accounting within theconsumer products industry, particularly companies that sell intobig-box retailenvironments • Expertise withNetSuite • Solid experience withinventory accountingin a fast-moving supply chain • Experience working in high-growth, startup, or VC-backed companies preferred • Self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and can work independently • Clear communicator with a team-first attitude and no ego Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: Up to $80.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
