Job Description

Interior Designer Sheffield Furniture and Interiors, a four-generation family business, is looking for a passionate and sales-oriented interior designers to join our team. Our designers love their job and that is why they go the extra mile to help their clients create the beautiful home they've always wanted. This will involve making in-home visits and design presentations including floorplans, sketches, coordinating fabrics, paint colors, and floor covering selections. Designers are also expected to close sales, register prospects, and be active on social media. Do you thrive in an environment of collaboration, entrepreneurship, and excellence? Job Scope: • Establish rapport with guests in a low-stress environment • Interpret and translate client needs into visional presentation • Define project requirements and schedule during the initial meeting or home visit • Manage design projects from concept to completion • Set costs and project fees according to client's budget and needs • Research and decide on product, materials and fabrics sourcing • Produce sample, mood boards and presentations • Keep abreast of project progression and timeliness • Work closely with clients and support teams • Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices Skills and Experience: • Proven work experience in designing interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planningnew construction) • History of exceeding sales goals in luxury retail or furniture showroom setting • Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials, fabrics, custom furniture, custom window treatments, accessories, rugsmore • Experience in SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programs a plus • Excellent portfolio of previous work • Possess creative talent, imagination and eye for design • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Successful project management skills Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in interior design or similar preferred • Ability to make home calls to customers to provide a complete design solution • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to provide own transportation to and from customer's homes • Willingness to work Saturdays and some holidays (no nights) About Sheffield FurnitureInteriors Sheffield Furniture and Interiors www.sheffieldfurniture.com only offers the best of the best and you will use top brands in your projects such as Century, Stickley, Bernhardt, Hickory Chair, American Leather, Theodore Alexander, Stressless, Brown Jordan, and many more.
