Our Rochester Hills, MI location is seeking a Engineering Intern to join our team.

THE POSITION

The Application Engineer Intern will support the ContiTech Thermal Solutions Application Engineering department.

Responsibilities include:

• Elaborate/evaluate feasibility checks for RFQ utilizing multi-disciplinary teams• Check standard and customer specifications in terms of feasibility (IATF & Customer Specific compliance)• Support development of design concepts and design proposals in coordination with the customer for complex and global projects• Coordination of 3D-modelling together with CAD and CAE• Coordination of 2D-drawing considering customer specifications and tolerancing requirements• Participate in design reviews with multi-disciplinary teams• Support in establishing a test plan and evaluating test results (DVP)• Assist in the development of D-FMEA

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently studying for BA or MA in Mechanical Engineering/ Related Field• Fluent in the English language (speaking and written)• Experience with Microsoft Office• Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• School or work experience in the automotive industry
