Position Overview

Do you have an interest in understanding the corporate finance function and its role in a dynamic, public company environment? Do you have strong analytical skills, an ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse populations, and an interest in driving process improvement? This internship position will work on a reporting standardization project, gathering needs from senior business leaders, drafting what those needs look like in a reporting dashboard, and outlining a plan to implement the project. Join us and gain exposure to Finance at Autodesk. At this point in time, Autodesk is planning for a virtual summer internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with senior management to identify financial reporting needs across a broad organization.
  • Meet with finance partners to understand current management reporting and data sources used.
  • Synthesize your findings and make recommendations for reporting improvements. Identify any gaps in data/systems/tools and potential automation opportunities.

  • Implement recommendations and outline future enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age
  • Student must be actively enrolled in a degree granting academic institution or accredited boot camp at the time of internship

  • Students must reside and attend university in the country where the internship is being offered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, economics, or a related field.
  • Tech savvy, analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Passionate about data driven decision making, eager to learn, creative thinker, analytical mindset.
  • Affinity with self-service analytical tools, such as Power BI and Smartsheet.
  • Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and with the ability to interact with various levels of customers and finance resources.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team with strong sense of ownership.

About the US Intern Program

The 2023 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 22 - August 11 or June 12 - September 1) and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March. Our Internships align with Autodesk's Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.
