What You Will Do

Quality, compliance to requirements, and continuous improvement are key in all that we do. This unique program led by experienced quality professionals will ensure that our interns are learning, mentored, and intertwined with the organizations they support by having substantial work and project. Pratt & Whitney's Quality Intern program provides you with a flexible learning environment to help kick-start your career and provides us the resources to meet our workforce requirements for the future. We will provide mentorship to you by a senior quality engineer and exposure to senior management and executives.

Work along with analyst in the MCL Core laboratory to perform routine compliance testing, analysis, and investigations for Quality. The MCL Core lab consists of Chemistry, Mechanical Testing, and Metallurgical Testing labs. Challenges include interpretation of testing procedures, testing techniques, metallographic techniques, mechanical testing techniques, identifying proper testing equipment, drawing interpretation, and understanding specification requirements. Once a level of proficiency is displayed the intern will be asked to perform and record test results independently.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Enrolled in a degree program studying Chemistry, Metallurgy, Materials Science or related field at time of assignment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Previous exposure to quality principles & tools preferred.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
