Internship - Swine and Poultry Biosecurity

The purpose of Neogen Biosecurity Summer Internship is to support Biosecurity business at key Swine & Poultry producers. The appointment would be for the summer months of 2022 (June-August approximately). The intern would be responsible for traveling to farms & production facilities of defined swine or poultry integrators and conducting Biosecurity Audits at respective facilities. Audits will include all aspects of Neogen's Biosecurity Program (Rodent Control, C&D, Water Treatment, Insect Control) and be documented using a pre-established Audit checklist to be provided by Neogen. Appointments at each facility would be made and scheduled in advance, either by the intern or the appropriate Animal Protein Field Sales Team member responsible for the account. All proper Biosecurity precautions will be followed while on the farm premises. Additional responsibilities may include:

• Grower & Service Tech Biosecurity Training and Education
• Neogen Water Treatment System service & maintenance
• Summarization of completed audits and distribution to Neogen and/or Customer contacts

Project Information: Neogen is the global leader in Biosecurity Solutions and seeks to support existing business and generate new business in this area by providing farm level service and Biosecurity audits to ensure compliance. Customers that would potentially be eligible for these Intern Audit services would include Lincoln Premium Poultry, Iowa Select Farms, Modern Pork Partnerships (The Maschhoffs, Carthage, Eichelberger, Brenneman, etc.).

Experience needed: Background in Swine and/or Poultry live-production.
