Intervention Teacher

Intervention Teacher Reports To:Chief Academic Officer Position Overview: TheIntervention Teacherprovides targeted academic support to students who are performing below grade level in core subject areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics. This position focuses on identifying learning gaps, implementing evidence-based instructional strategies, and collaborating with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to improve student outcomes. Iftin Charter is a K-8 Charter School. TheIntervention Teacherwill provide academic support and targeted instruction toK–8 studentsat Iftin Charter School. Key Responsibilities: • Provide small group and individual instruction to students identified as needing academic intervention. • Use assessment data (formative and summative) to identify students’ learning needs and monitor progress. • Develop and implement intervention plans aligned with grade-level standards and school goals. • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and integrate intervention strategies within the general education classroom. • Participate in data team and student support meetings to discuss progress, strategies, and next steps. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communicate results with staff and parents. • Provide input for individualized education plans (IEPs) when applicable. • Utilize evidence-based instructional materials and methods to promote student growth. • Support a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student confidence and motivation. • Engage in professional learning to strengthen instructional skills and stay current with best practices in intervention and data-driven instruction.
