The Role
Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF) is looking for a detail-oriented, hard-working Inventory Control Specialist II with warehouse experience for our assembly facility in Charlestown, MA. Your responsibilities will include maintaining inventory records, fulfilling orders, kitting for the assembly line, and preparing balance and shortages reports. You should have proficient math skills, be a team player with the ability to work well with others, and strong communication skills. You will report directly to the Warehouse Manager, so it is important to have warehouse experience, at least intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications and/or Google Suite applications and ERP software.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and control accurate inventory levels in NetSuite (ERP) and stock location integrity
- Stocking, kitting, issuing, and other inventory management related activities to support company and program requirements; ensuring compliance with corporate policies and requirements
- Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
- Research and reconcile the root cause of inventory discrepancies
- Compile inventory information, i.e. consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment
- Monitor inventory levels to determine level of safety stock and provide notification to the team when replenishment is required
- Lead and complete physical inventories/cycle counts/reconciliations in coordination with Finance
- Releasing material to production floor in accordance with Production Plan, including picking and kitting of material
- Plan inventory management techniques to avoid shortages and excesses; work with Supply Chain and Purchasing to procure material in accordance with Production Plan
- Package, label, and stock material in bins, racks, or shelves, according to identifying part number.
- Organize and size inventory locations
- Build and issue kits, or individual parts in support of program and manufacturing material requirements
- Move or transport material from stock area to production areas, as needed
- Participate and contribute to a safe Work Environment
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned, as needed
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or similar
- 2+ years of experience with inventory control in a manufacturing environment
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with an ERP required; NetSuite experience is preferred
- Intermediate experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Forklift experience strongly preferred
- This role is an active position where you will be on your feet the majority of the day and requires the ability to lift up to 50+ pounds
