We currently have an exceptional opportunity for an Invoice Specialist I to join our Charlotte, NC office.  As an Invoice Specialist I, you will be responsible to ensure reliability of financial statements and to assure that all statements are prepared according using generally accepted accounting principles.  

Billing Specialist Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in monthly and annual close process, including preparing journal entries and performing analytical review of P&L and balance sheet accounts; also includes ensuring proper transaction postings and classifications
  • Prepare account analysis and schedules including reconciling general ledger to sub ledger details
  • Assist with annual audits and preparation of annual budgets
  • Maintain corporate licensing filing requirements
  • Prepare general business taxes - sales and use, gross receipts, etc.
  • Participate in special projects as required and assigned by management

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Self-motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal relations and a team-player
  • Analytical thinking, detail oriented, and flexible with changes
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive financial/accounting experience within public or private organizations with Auditing experience a plus; in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems
  • BST or similar industry software experience desired
  • Microsoft Office Suite with medium to strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
