Animation Inc. is a technology company specializing in real-time generative animation technology. We believe animation is the final frontier in creating believable virtual characters and rich LLM-based experiences in the generative AI era. Our team consists of ex-Meta engineers, artists, and animators passionate about redefining how humans interact with AI.

We are building an advanced animation AI model that runs locally on mobile devices, enabling virtual characters to move based on audio input and environmental constraints. This technology allows for real-time empathetic communication and unlocks exciting new use cases.

We are now looking for an iOS Engineer to help turn our innovative technology into a full-fledged product.

What you’ll work on

• Build a mobile app that showcases our cutting-edge technology.

• Develop and optimize user-facing features, including:

  • Chats

  • Voice chat and calls

  • Interaction with LLMs

  • Real-time audio streaming via WebSockets.

• Work on a partner SDK that will allow third parties to integrate our animation technology into their products.

• Collaborate closely with the team on asynchronous code, complex calculations, and interface designs.

• Contribute to backend-related tasks where necessary (familiarity with Node.js and TypeScript is helpful but not required).

Stack

• iOS Development: Swift 6.0, SwiftUI, UIKit, AVFoundation, Accelerate, iOS 17+.

• Backend & Web: TypeScript, Node.js, Cloudflare Workers (Durable Objects, KV, AI, etc.).

• Communication Protocols: REST API, WebSockets.

Your experience

• Strong experience in iOS development with Swift.

• Ability to work with asynchronous code and handle complex calculations efficiently.

• Passion for creating polished user interfaces and building engaging user-facing features.

• Familiarity with backend concepts, Node.js, and TypeScript (not required but a plus).

• A self-starter attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
