IT Corporate Application Support Architect 

The Team:

The Corporate Application Support teams are responsible for analyzing the business processes of other internal departments and teams, suggesting improvements to those processes from both an operational and technological perspective, architecting and implementing technology solutions to enhance and automate those processes, and then managing those technology systems and solutions as the organization evolves.

 

The Role:

We are looking for an individual to serve in a fairly unique role that encompasses elements of both solution architecture and hands-on implementation of those solutions along with being an apprentice to one of the current CAS managers.  This position is not a direct management position at this time although it is expected to evolve into having management duties.  This position is also not a strict technical position; however, having a strong technical and programming foundation will be useful in performing the duties of the position.  The primary goals are to further develop the individual’s analysis and problem-solving skills, utilize their foundational understanding of technology to architect technology solutions, broaden their experience across multiple functional departments, and to ultimately make other teams and/or individuals more efficient and effective in their daily tasks while at the same time meeting any and all necessary regulatory requirements. You will be a success in this role if you are very detail oriented, are an effective communicator, have an ability to think through complex processes and workflows quickly, adapt readily to changing requirements and situations, and show initiative in seeking to improve our organization’s processes and usage of technology in any area that you encounter.


What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze and recommend improvements in business process for the Technology, Client Services, and Finance groups in order to improve employee productivity

  • Analyze and recommend new or improved technology systems or implementations for the same groups in order to improve employee productivity

  • Assist in the administration of the systems managed by CAS

  • Serve as the primary backup for the current CAS manager

  • Other duties as assigned


What You’ll Need:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering – OR – equivalent training and experience in the theories and concepts underpinning computer hardware operations (including processing, storage, networking, and virtualization) and database architecture and administration

  • 3-5 years of experience as an IT Generalist covering infrastructure operations with a strong bent towards scripting – OR – 3-5 years of experience in application development with some experience in system administration

  • Ability to process and communicate complex workflows to both technical and non-technical colleagues

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teammates and colleagues to solve complex issues

  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills, across all platforms (Zoom, Email, Slack)

  • A proactive attitude and a demonstrated ability to use initiative to resolve issues

  • An aptitude for programming and logical processing flows

  • Experience collaborating with development or support teams in India is a strong plus

  • Experience with E-Commerce platform management with a focus on products and related financial metadata objects

  • A conceptual understanding of accounting principles, roles, and operations

  • Application development in multiple programming languages

  • Experience coding against REST APIs 

  • DBA / Database Schema creation and maintenance

  • Experience working in different functional business areas

  • Experience working as part of or managing an IT helpdesk or customer support center

  • Administration experience in any of the following systems: Jira, Zendesk, Smartsheet, Intacct, Aha

  • Experience working in a Financial Technology company

  • Experience working with sensitive/confidential customer information (HIPAA / PCI)

  • Experience with IT Vendor Management and Purchasing


The salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 + bonus + benefits.

*Note: This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings.
