IT Consultant 3

Location: Columbus, OH - Local candidates only
Position Type: Hybrid, will need to be onsite on Tuesdays
Contract Length: 10 months, likely extension
Position Overview:
The IT Consultant will collaborate with Business Consultants to confirm critical business requirements, manage expectations with business partners, and contribute to the analysis of future project ideas and their estimated business value. The Consultant will collaborate with architects and other technical professionals for environment setup, management, configuration, and development.
Duties:

• Responsible for working with the vendor for all project-related software and hardware for lifecycle management, vendor meetings, etc.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction on critical activities to achieve business objectives. 
• Define the current and future state of the technology and all applicable integrations.
• Provide technical leadership for analyzing future project ideas and their estimated business value.
• Anticipate, understand, and communicate the implications of technical decisions on the business, applications, and project timelines and influence decisions accordingly.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of GENTRAN mainframe translator experience.
• 5 years of experience with EDI Healthcare related HL (hierarchical level) transaction sets such as the 148 FROI.
• 5 years of experience with EDI application and transaction set analysis, definition, mapping and compliance.
• 5 years of experience with GENTRAN user exits (COBOL development).
• 5 years of experience in all aspects of testing from development to implementation (EDI).
• 5 years of experience utilizing documentation tool for the creation and publication of EDI Implementation Guides.
• 2 years of supporting PowerSuite/CoreSuite for Workers’ Compensation files through GENTRAN, to EDI format development, modification and testing.
