IT Lead

At Mojang, we're seeking an experienced and people-oriented IT Lead who will ensure our infrastructure and daily workflows run seamlessly while planning for our future IT needs. You’ll lead and develop a dedicated team of IT support specialists, ensuring our systems and information are always optimized and accessible. This position is located in our Stockholm studio and requires weekly onsite prescence. 

Your Role:

• Lead and Develop: Inspire and grow your team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Drive IT Excellence: Continuously improve IT functions, contributing to product development initiatives.
• Collaborate and Support: Work closely with People Experience, HR, IT support engineers, managers, and stakeholders to support employees' IT needs.
• Strategic Planning: Stay updated on studio priorities, ensuring IT is integrated into planning.
• Represent IT: Communicate IT objectives and performance within the organization.
• Technical Expertise: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, keeping up with technology advancements.
• Manage Infrastructure: Oversee office IT infrastructure, security policies, hardware procurement, and technical onboarding.
• Server and Network Management: Handle internal server management, lab networks, and VPNs.

Requirements:

• Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading and developing teams in a supportive and people-oriented manner.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, software engineering, technology management, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technical program management, ideally in a related industry.
• Product Development: Advanced knowledge of the full product development lifecycle and leadership in planning.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to collaborate with IT engineers and senior managers.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in software product engineering, deployment, and integration.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate performance metrics, diagnose, and resolve issues.
• Adaptability: Up-to-date with advancements in technical product development.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English and preferably Swedish

Nice to Have:

• Game Studio Experience: IT Operations/Engineering experience within a Game Studio.
• Coding Skills: Proficiency in C#, PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript.
• Troubleshooting: Experience in a Microsoft Corporate Environment.
