Essential Job Functions

This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion.
•
Manages assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project. Works with the IT department to determine business requirements and priorities.

Performs complex data-driven analysis to support management decisions pertaining to infrastructure, defining key performance indicators, and designing operational improvements.
•
Tracks and manages the overall lifecycle of IT projects. Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.
•
Leads and communicates with team members to ensure optimal strategy and maximum efficiencies. Coordinates, facilitates, and attends project meetings; publishes detailed project notes and records.
•
Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders based on an understanding of the business unit’s workflow processes.
•
Conducts and coordinates change management meetings, communicating the changes to relevant departments by leveraging available communication channels.
•
Oversees the project budget process and other financial-related tasks for the IT department.
•
Coordinates the process of creating, reviewing, and assessing RFQs and RFPs for IT Projects (internal and external).
•
Compiles departmental key performance indicators and statistics, using tools such as KPI dashboards, project cost performance indices, and schedule performance indices.
•
Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
•
Prepares presentations and communicates effectively and persuasively with stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
•
Develops statements of work, business area analyses, multiple system integration studies, management reports, City Council recommendations, budget recommendations, customer satisfaction surveys, project documentation, plans, recommendations, spreadsheets, e-mails, presentations, and schedules with clearly organized thoughts, using proper sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar.

Develops trusting working relationships, building rapport with customers, team members, management, etc.; motivates team members to achieve milestones.

All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain this knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:

Education:Bachelor’s degree in a related field
•
Experience:3 to 5 years of relevant experience
•
Licenses:Valid Driver’s License required
•
Certifications Required:PMP or related project management certification is preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS clearance necessary to perform job duties.
