IT Security Analyst

Major Responsibilities • Provide technical expertise, support and service all cybersecurity awareness programs • Identify and evaluate human risks to the organization and develop required behavioral changes to mitigate security risks • Remain informed on threats, trends and incidents in the IT security industry, including current and emerging technologies • Plan and implement the regular IT security tasks including vulnerability assessments, incident management exercises, disaster recovery exercises (table top, walk through and simulation) with necessary tools to keep the IT security updated • Manage, update and enforce IT security and privacy policies • Maintain the information security risk register and facilitate regular reviews with stakeholders. • Leveraging security controls, policies and Threat Intelligence (indicators of compromise (IOC), rules and procedures) to identify infected/ affected systems and scope and origin of attack • Adhering to TLC’s policies and practices such as the IT security policy and change management and vulnerability management practices • Facilitating and directing client conference calls in the event of a high severity security breach, acting as a subject matter expert • Managing and escalating resolutions of a client’s service and infrastructure issues • Focusing on mitigation, recovery and remediation once an attack has occurred • Analyzing and assessing damage to the data/ infrastructure as a result of security incidents, examining available recovery tools and processes and recommending solutions- remediation and recovery efforts. • Performing accuracy-based audits to ensure consistency is followed • Setting an example for sharing best practices with team members to enhance the quality of support • Day-to-day administration of windows systems, network components and business applications Qualifications & Considerations for the Position • College and/ or University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Security or related discipline or equivalent experience • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Information Security and/ or other relevant IT functions • Strong understanding of common security tools like intrusion detection systems and SIEM software • Networking/ Information Security/ Forensics Analysis background with the sense to recognize and prioritize critical security incidents • Sysadmin skills on Windows and cloud based applications • Ability to update technical documentation and document processes and experience with KB and ticketing systems / Data. • Strong interpersonal relationship skills and experience communicating effectively with clients, vendors and colleagues (verbal and written) • Relevant IT or IT Security Certifications is a plus Only qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.
