Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. • Maintain cleanliness in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring high standards of hygiene. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and stripping floors as needed. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building's infrastructure. • Handle industrial cleaning duties when required, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques. • Monitor supplies and report any maintenance or repair needs to management promptly. • Uphold safety standards while performing custodial duties to prevent accidents or injuries. • Serve as a porter when necessary, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility. Requirements • Proven experience in custodial services or related fields such as commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred. • Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies, including floor care machinery. • Ability to clean effectively while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks performed. • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage time efficiently. • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving items as necessary. • A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment. • Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
