Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with a focus on both industrial and commercial cleaning standards. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. • Conduct thorough industrial cleaning of equipment and machinery as needed. • Carry out floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to enhance the appearance of surfaces. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all areas are well-kept. • Respond to urgent cleaning requests promptly and efficiently. • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report needs for replenishment. • Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Experience • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and techniques is a plus. • Knowledge of floor care procedures, including buffing and maintenance, is advantageous. • Experience in facilities maintenance or porter services will be considered an asset. • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties, including lifting and moving equipment.
