Janitor

Company Description A leading designer and manufacturer of low voltage electronics and power supplies. Job Description Seeking a janitorial employee whose duties and hours may vary dependent upon workload. The ideal candidate may be responsible for any or all of the following tasks. Tasks may also change throughout employment. Essential Duties/Requirements: • Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, etc. • Replenishes bathroom supplies. • Polishes and dusts metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings. • Sweeps and mops floors in the restrooms using mops and brooms. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors. • Empties wastebaskets and transports to disposal area. • Other duties as assigned deemed necessary by management. Qualifications Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: • Walk and stand • Climb and crawl • Bend forward and kneel down • Reach and grasp • Push and pull objects • Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs • Repetitive bending and lifting of items • Repetitive arm movements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Additional Information Rate of Pay:In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the hourly rate for this position ranges from $17.50 - $18.00 per hour; which may be increased upon successful completion of the 90th day introductory period.
