We're hiring for a full-time Janitor!
Shift:
6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. & every other Saturday/Sunday
Job Summary:Performs custodial maintenance duties, including dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms.

• Pickup and transfer soiled linen to the laundry room, as specified by the Assistant Director of Facilities or designee.
• Clean all assigned floor surfaces using wet dry and appliance method within specified time frame.
• Pick up garbage and recycling from the Health Care Center and from trash rooms and soiled utility rooms throughout the building; transport garbage to the outdoor dumpster (including one in the parking garage), as specified by the Assistant Director of Facilities or designee; remove isolation bins as needed.
• Cleaning of the front entrance floors when needed.
• Clean mats; place of mats at the front entrance when needed for weather purposes.
• Properly store hazardous waste until picked up by waste company on an as needed basis.
• Keep trash room and laundry rooms swept and mopped.
• Keep laundry trash pick-up carts washed and clean.
• Wash and disinfect common bathrooms, employee break room dining area including fixtures, surfaces and appliances. Remove all refuse according to departmental standards for all assigned areas.
• Dispense soap and paper supplies to all public bathrooms and kitchen area on a daily basis.
• Wash and disinfect all trash cans weekly.
• Sweep and mop all stairwells.
• Power wash lower level garbage shoot rooms weekly.
• Collect garbage from dining rooms after each meal.
• Remove air mattress from bed and replace with Plymouth Place mattress when needed.
• Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all Plymouth Place policies and procedures.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
• Attends in-service and education programs.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Must be at least 18 years old
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Ability to safety operate and use cleaning equipment.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, families, and employees.
