Pay Range:$20.76 to $23.58/hour (based on union scale) Work Schedule:Friday - Wednesday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Horizon House is actively seeking a community driven and detail-oriented Janitor (Environmental Services Tech). This impactful team member is responsible for interacting with staff and residents in a professional, courteous manner while performing a variety of janitorial and minor maintenance services necessary to keep the community areas of Horizon House clean and safe. What You'll Do β€’ Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstered furniture β€’ Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, and wax floors β€’ Dust, wipe, and clean walls, windows, and other surfaces β€’ Clean and restock restrooms β€’ Take out garbage, compost, recycling, and dirty laundry β€’ Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and make beds β€’ Wash and fold resident laundry when needed β€’ Keep cleaning supplies and tools organized and clean β€’ Use a walkie-talkie to answer calls from staff β€’ Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for events and meetings The ideal candidate will possess: β€’ Education:High school graduation, GED or equivalent (preferred, not required) β€’ Experience:Minimum one (1) year of housekeeping or experience in a related field (preferred, not required) β€’ Communications:Must be fluent in English language. Be able to follow directions, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to interact appropriately with seniors. β€’ Knowledge:Able to use vacuum, cleaning products, broom, mop, cart, elevators, two-way radio, ladders, large floor care equipment, and other related supplies/equipment.
