Janitor

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.Grave Shift, 10:00pm-6:30am Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. • Maintain floor care by buffing, waxing, and polishing surfaces as needed. • Conduct commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas to ensure high standards of hygiene. • Assist with residential painting and touch-ups as required to maintain the aesthetic of the facilities. • Carry out porter duties including moving furniture or equipment as needed for events or maintenance activities. • Handle custodial tasks such as emptying trash bins, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all areas are well-stocked. • Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management promptly. • Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Skills • Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred. • Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is highly desirable. • Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and facility occupants. • Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting or prolonged standing.
