Janitor

Overview The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of WT Burnett - West facilities. This includes routine cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and organized work environment for all employees and visitors. Duties • Perform general cleaning duties daily such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. • Clean and dust office desk, filing cabinets, and any other common area. • Wipe down water coolers located in all of the buildings. • Deep clean refrigerators and microwaves throughout property once a week and monitor them throughout the week for spills, soiled food, etc. • Dispose of trash, shredder, and recyclables properly, ensuring waste is managed in accordance with company policies. • Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed (soap, paper towels, etc.). • Maintain the cleanliness of entryways, hallways, and high-traffic areas. • Monitor and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to management. • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces as needed. • Restock cleaning supplies and request additional supplies when necessary. • Follow safety procedures and use cleaning equipment correctly to prevent accidents and injuries. • Support other departments with minor maintenance tasks or special projects as directed by management. • Set decorations for holidays and partner with Office Manager on any items needed. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred. • Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus. • Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes. • Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
