Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas. • Maintain floors through buffing and polishing as needed to ensure they are presentable and safe. • Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established procedures. • Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked with necessary supplies, and well-maintained. • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. • Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report any significant issues to management. • Provide custodial support for special events or projects as required. • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning duties. Experience • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. • Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous. • Experience in floor care techniques such as buffing is a plus. • Knowledge of industrial cleaning standards is beneficial for specific environments. • Any background in facilities maintenance or porter experience will be considered an asset. • A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all tasks performed.
