Janitor/Cleaner

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and maintenance, ensuring that facilities are kept in pristine condition. This role is essential in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of various surfaces. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Handle commercial cleaning tasks in office spaces, industrial settings, or residential properties as needed. • Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel. • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and stored properly after use. • Provide porter services as required, including moving furniture or equipment for events or maintenance tasks. Qualifications • Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. • Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is highly desirable. • Experience in commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is a plus. • Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices will be beneficial. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
