Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The ideal candidate will have previous janitorial or custodial experience and possess a strong work ethic. You will be responsible for performing various cleaning tasks in commercial, residential, or industrial settings, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms and replenish supplies as needed. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained. • Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces to uphold facility standards. • Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies. • Assist with basic maintenance tasks as required to support overall facilities upkeep. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Skills • Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred. • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products used in commercial cleaning environments. • Familiarity with floor care equipment and techniques including buffing and waxing. • Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively. • Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus. • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
