Janitor/Custodian

Job Summary Jambrina CPA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor/Custodian to maintain cleanliness and order throughout our corporate office. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment for our staff and clients. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, while also providing light administrative support and assisting with basic hospitality tasks, such as preparing breakfast, coffee, and other refreshments as needed. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily cleaning of office areas, including desks, floors, hallways, meeting rooms, reception, and kitchens. • Sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.). • Empty trash cans and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal. • Vacuum, mop, and sweep floors; clean carpets and polish surfaces as needed. • Wipe down frequently touched surfaces (e.g., door handles, light switches, shared equipment). • Clean interior windows and glass surfaces. • Assist with event setup and post-event cleanup when required. • Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisor when restocking is needed. • Provide administrative support tasks as needed. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. • Ensure proper closure and security of the office at the end of the shift when applicable. • Prepare light refreshments for staff and visitors, such as breakfast items, coffee, and beverages, as needed. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in a corporate setting. • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to45 lbsas needed. • Punctuality and reliability are essential. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Bilingual proficiency inEnglish and Spanish is required.
