Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. • Conduct facilities maintenance duties such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. • Execute custodial tasks in commercial, industrial, and residential settings as required. • Buff and polish floors to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable. • Serve as a porter by transporting materials and supplies as needed throughout the facility. • Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient use. • Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. • Maintain records of cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards. Requirements • Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles preferred, with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices. • Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is highly desirable. • Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
