Janitorial Maintenance

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential in upholding the standards of cleanliness and hygiene across commercial and residential spaces. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. • Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established procedures. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep. • Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance. • Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly. • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly. Experience • Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred but not mandatory. • Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus. • Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning will be advantageous. • Knowledge of residential painting can be beneficial for additional responsibilities. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment.
