Janitorial Worker

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. • Handle janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained. • Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Support facilities maintenance by reporting any issues or repairs needed in the building. • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used effectively and safely. • Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary. Skills • Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred. • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation. • Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing and maintenance. • Experience in commercial cleaning environments is an advantage. • Basic understanding of residential painting is a plus. • Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and efficiently. • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
