Janitorial Worker

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain surfaces in optimal condition. • Execute industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. • Assist with residential painting projects when required to enhance the appearance of facilities. • Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. • Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. • Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective cleaning schedules are followed. Skills • Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles is preferred. • Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance of different surface types. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and safety protocols. • Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently. • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment.
