Java Application Developer Project and Requirements This project supports upgrading the current application fromJava 8 to Java 21and assists withAzure Disaster Recovery (DR)efforts. Role and Responsibilities of the Resource Request Java Application Developerswill be responsible for analysis, testing, and development activities. They may also assist with batch report development and support. Responsibilities include direct customer interaction, collaboration with team members, and participation in project-related meetings and ceremonies. Key Responsibilities: • Perform testing and debugging of applications • Conduct problem-solving and data analysis • Provide integration support • Create and maintain technical documentation • Develop SQL scripts as needed • Coordinate with the development team to address existing backlog • Support items in the maintenance phase • Validate requirements documents and user stories Scheduled Milestones and Deliverables • Track completed sprints everythree (3) weeks • Provideongoing enhancement supportfor JIMS2 (no defined end date) • Upgrade JIMS2 applicationto the latest version • Establish and mimic production setupin collaboration with Microsoft for Azure DR Metrics to Measure Resource Performance • Financial:Budget and cost control performance • Schedule Variance:Adherence to project timelines and sprint goals • Quality/Customer Satisfaction:End-user and stakeholder feedback • Productivity Monitoring / Problem Solving:Issue resolution rate and contribution to backlog reduction Job Type: Contract Pay: Up to $60.00 per hour Experience: • Java Application Developer : 10 years (Required) • Azure : 5 years (Required) • testing and debugging of applications: 10 years (Required) • Java 21: 2 years (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Houston, TX 77002
